We’ve had one of these beds for at least five years. The pad is flattened out a little but it is still going strong. This year we have been keeping the thermostat turned down to 65 during winter so everyone was fighting over who gets to sleep in the heated bed. We bought three more beds in January so now everyone has their own warm bed. We have two long-hired chihuahua that prefer to sleep in small calming beds but these heated beds are winners with our one short-haired dog and three cats. They are well made and the color is nice. I’ve only washed one of them. It was a little difficult getting the foam stuffed back into the cover but it can be done and the fabric washed nicely. I highly recommend these beds to keep your fur babies warm and comfortable.

We have 4 of these beds around our house on
different levels and in different sizes for our two
boston terriers and the cats. The first one we wver purchased was 6+ years ago and it’s still going strong. They are used on hardwood floors and provide ample support and softness. They are the preferred places our animals sleep during the day. (all are in bed with us at night)
We wash the beds probably once to twice a month and have never had any issues. I’ve never had an experience with safety concerns or with the over heating/not working or causing any issues with our electricity.
I have recommended these beds to fellow friends who own pets and have heard nothing but positive feedback.
10/10 would purchase again. In fact, I’ve thought about getting one for our garage ✅

Entirely worth the price — it has an internal thermostat meaning it can just be left plugged in all the time, and only heats up with weight on the pad. It takes a few minutes to heat up, and you want something heavier than the pillow suggested in the instructions— I just sat in it, or you could put your feet in it while sitting in a chair. Abbie was miffed that she only got this for Christmas until we led her back into it once it’d warmed up — then she spent the rest of the day there. She’s 11 and we live in New England, and I’d noticed she’d been cuddlier and seeming a bit cold. Currently, since it’s summer and hot as blazes, she uses it at night or puts her favorite toys in it. 100% worth the money. She’s a 50lb Standard Poodle and the size is perfect.

I did much research into this type of product before making my purchase. It seems as if all have their detractors. This appeared to be the best in the price range that I was willing to consider for a heated dog bed, so I took the plunge. Somehow, within 30 minutes of having ordered it, I found a site reviewing the top heated dog beds, and apparently this one won some sort of recognition, reassuring me of my recent purchase.

The list price is ~$90, and I am happy to say that through Amazon, I was able to purchase it for considerably less. That said, I did find one seller charging ~$120 for the same item! Even the large version does not have a list price near that, and would not be worth it.

My only concern was sizing, which many others also expressed. For example the photo of the beagle in the ad makes no mention of whether it is lying in the large or medium version, and that photo appears regardless of which size you choose. We have a 1 year old Boston Terrier mix, who weighs ~20 lbs. Fortunately, there is one review showing a Boston Terrier in the medium bed, so I felt reassured. I have attached a photo of our dog in her new bed. She is curled up, but this is the way she lies naturally, and you can see that she has plenty of room to stretch, should she wish to. A large bed was not necessary. She is now comfortable sleeping in her bed through the night, and do9es not routinely get up to crawl into our bed.

As to the quality, it seems reasonably well made, but I would consider the list price too high for this item. As noted, the center pillow is really quite simple, with little padding, but then again that helps with the heat transmission. As to the heat, it seems quite adequate for inside a home that goes down to 65 at night, and a dog with really little insulating hair and little fat. It would not do for outside, and certainly, as advised, do NOT put it in a kennel where a dog could not get off of it. I could see this getting uncomfortably hot in a confined space.

Though I have only had this bed for a couple of weeks, I would recommend it, with the conditioned noted. Feel free to ask any questions.

I bought the bed for my 15 pound sparsely haired pupper…. But my 100 pound GSD/Malinios pupper decided that his big boy bed was not warm enough. He is currently snoring and curled up as small as possible to fit. I am pretty sure he’s faking it because he keeps opening an eye to see if I’m next to him.

I’ve had this bed twice before. I buy a new one about every 2 years because they are well loved. This is by no means a dig at the quality. No bed could withstand the doggo world I live in.

I live in California on the coast. It’s December and not cold. My 15 pound sparsely haired pupper is sprawled out on the hard wood floor. He seems quite content.

It appears my prince(ss) has found the pea and the perfect bed.

My dog is enjoying this, and my cat got jealous so I bought a second one. Here’s the only issue: it doesn’t get warm unless something is on top of it (like a dog as designed) and my dog won’t use a dog bed unless there’s blankets on top and won’t use it unless it’s on our bed in the corner. She’s an Italian greyhound, so an always cold and must always be right where I am. When it has a blanket on top the bottom gets about 130 degrees, so I took a reptile thermostat I had laying around and snaked the sensor through the Velcro at the bottom so it turns off when it hits 100 degrees, and therefore doesn’t burn my dog or mattress and I can keep a blanket on it without worrying. The second one we keep on top of the dog crate for the cat and it stays at a much lower temp without a blanket on top and some air circulation below, which is great for the cat. I think involving a thermostat in the bed itself would make it more functional for dogs who like to snuggle under things, but otherwise it is keeping my older critters warm and comfy and both beds get used daily.

The heating works well, however the bed is quite small and the bottom is slippery causing it to easily move around. I don’t recommend it if you have a medium size pet

Good for dogs. Uncomfortable for humans (in my opinion)

These are quality, and cats and dogs love this bed. It cuddles, warms, and soothes, especially senior or cold sensitive animals. True to KH’s promise, this bed does not “over warm” and is the safe alternative to human heating pads which can injure pets. Although they wash very well, they are a bit difficult to reassemble, but then I’m a klutz. After purchasing four KH pet beds, I would not hesitate to buy them again. Many paws up!
ADDENDUM: I purchased the medium sized bed for my 15 year old cat, and he loved it, but the fluffy padding between the heating pad separated, and the bed became too hot for him and beneath the bed itself. It is not comfortable. I had to buy a 1/2″ thick foam pad to place on top and cover that with a light blanket to make it acceptable. KH makes super cat beds and cat warming pads which are well padded and comfortable. This is a real disappointment that their quality has apparently declined.
